Our visit to the Lady Lever Gallery & Port Sunlight is on Tuesday 11th March 2025. We will travel by minibus, driven by Hilary, and leave from Tesco Car Park, bus stop A, at 9:30am. We leave Lancaster for Leyland at 3:30pm, arriving home about 4:45. The cost is £10.00, not including food, which is available in the city. To book please contact Pam Carroll.

Description of Trip

This trip is to see the Lady Lever Art Gallery. A guided tour (tips included in trip price) will explain the history of the gallery & the collection of Victorian and Pre-Raphaelite paintings. Highlights include Bubbles, Lady Hamilton and paintings by masters, including Turner and Burne-Jones. It also has a wonderful collection of furniture & Wedgewood
The gallery is at the edge of Port Sunlight village. You will have time to walk around one of the finest planned industrial villages in the world . The museum is shut on Tuesdays.

There are cafes and tea room and a pub on site or take a packed lunch.
Guided walking tours may be available which take around 90 mins. You will have to arrange these separately.
