Venue
We meet once a month, usually on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm – location depends on numbers attending.
Cost is £5 per session (£10 first session).
We are looking for premises to host our tastings – if anyone knows of anywhere suitable, please let us know.
Background
We are an Exploring Wines & Spirits group, not just limited to wines. We have also tried Whiskies, Christmas drinks, Holiday purchases, had an outing to a local wine bar and an online tasting/presentation by Majestic Wines. We sample around six different wines at each session.
Members take it in turns to select the wines, which may be from a particular country, grape, supplier or supermarket. They supply notes and introduce the wines.
There is always a mixture of wines including white, red, sometimes rose, sparkling and dessert wines. Water and small snacks are provided.
We have a WhatsApp group to issue and accept invitations and also to notify offers and discounts.
No one is an expert, but we all enjoy tasting wines and learning about them.
