Our visit to the famous Bury Market is Friday 16th February 2024. We leave from Tesco Car Park, bus stop A, at 9:45am and return at 3:00pm from adjacent to the open market, expected at arrive in Leyland at 3:45pm. Travel is by minibus and costs £7 subject to minimum numbers of 15. Meals are not included but there are plenty of eateries in the market or town. To book please contact Pam Carroll.
Description of the Trip
Visit Bury’s award winning market at your leisure. The market has been around since the middle of the 15th century. You can buy almost anything. It is split into 3 sections, the Fish & Meat Hall, the Indoor Market (currently shut) & the Open Market. Between them they offer a fabulous array of almost 400 stalls and a very friendly atmosphere. Bury also boasts 3 museums (Art & Sculpture, Transport & Fusiliers) and a good selection of real ale pubs.
